We are pleased to welcome you to the Faculty of Agriculture, Gono Bishwabidyalay, which has been established in 2023. We stand by a foundational value of teaching students for their shouldering responsibilities towards serving nation. Our programme organizes students to become leaders with moral depth and intellectual intensity for bringing a notable change in agriculture. The traditional agriculture is to be transformed into modern agriculture to meet the recommended per capita food requirements for our ever-increasing population. We have to push agriculture to new heights even as national average agricultural farm sizes decrease. Our qualified academicians have been well experienced in their respective fields of specialization from national and international universities. Thus are aspired to educate students who will contribute to the development of national agricultural systems and elevation of its productivity. This could be achieved by the graduates through working hard at different agriculture based institutes and NGOs. In addition, graduates may come up as entrepreneur for further extended agriculture as commercial agriculture, which is time demanding. We make a bridge between students and long experienced conversant and eminent Visiting Professors whenever it is required. The faculty members are actively engaged in research and updating their professional knowledge. We are honestly committed to fulfill the goals of this university, with a difference.
