Mission & Vision

Mission of ELL is in conformity with the Mission of the GB which very transparently spelled out in the concept paper set out by the founding fathers of the GB. ‘The Rationale’ selection of the concept paper elaborately emphasized the necessity of the scientific education. Of course scientific education which is not elite dominated as in the West, but scientific education which  will act as a catalectic agent in a poverty-ridden, war-ridden, prejudiced ridden traditional Asian Society. The Mission of the entity as we say is in conformity with the concept paper of the GB. The mission of the entity is a deduction of the concept paper, no separate mission statement is set in for its Vision of the entity.

The founding father, a group of dedicated scholars such as Dr. Anisur Rahman, Dr. Abul Qashem, and Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury could foresee the future need of the new nation that was established through a war of Liberation, the war that was fought on the basis of some Ideological Vision of Secularism, Democracy, Socialism and Nationalism. They had envisioned the need of a new nation built on a very old society. Capable human power is the main condition of making a Golden Bengal.  GB was established to produce competent man power who can play the role of human recourses in various sectors of nation building activities. To achieve the national goal, GB asked for the permission to government of Bangladesh (GoB). The government became aware of the Public-Private-Partnership for the development of Education. Formally GB started work for poverty alleviation, development of higher education and specialized graduate to be able to work in various domains of the standard society. The first batch of students entered into the GB 23 years ago. The entity dedicated its whole hearted energy to realize the vision of the institution.
