Collaboration with Germany

1. Anhalt University of Applied Sciences

Year of establishment: 2002

Scope: This is a teacher student exchange program exists between Anhalt University, Germany and MPBME department since March, 2002. Main goal of this collaboration is to develop medical physics education and research in Bangladesh

2. German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ,)Heidelberg University

Year of establishment: 2002

Scope: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between MPBME department, Gono University and Heidelberg University.  Students, who have outstanding result, get opportunity to do M.Sc in this university every year. Also, Ph.D students get opportunity to perform their practical work in this university.

3. Mannheim University Hospital (UMM), Mannheim

Year of establishment: 2012

Scope:

• To establish a scientific collaboration and exchange programme on various levels
• Collaboration and exchange in scientific research and development
• Setting up a full-fledged laboratory and workshops for practical work
• Transfer of innovative health care technology into Bangladesh’s hospitals and industry as well as transfer of the specific demands of Bangladesh as a developing country into education, research and development
• Exchange personnel on all academic levels: university professors, lectures, graduate students, research scientists at PhD level
• Make joint efforts to obtain funding and support for education, teacher-student exchange, development, projects in research, establishment of laboratories and workshops from national and international agencies and institutions as well as industrial companies.

• Through the renewed agreement with Germany by 2018-2021, skilled manpower will be created for cancer treatment in Bangladesh and other South Asian countries.

Collaboration with China

1. Jiliang University

Year of establishment: 2016

Scope: Top ranked graduate students get chance to participate in this medical physics co-operative research program. They get advanced training in medical physics, biomedical engineering and computer sciences.

2. Zhejiang Cancer Hospital

Year of establishment: 2017

• Training Program
• Post Graduate Internship/ Fellowship

Collaboration with India

1.  North Bengal Oncology Center, Siliguri, India

Year of establishment: 2012

Scope: Students get opportunity to perform the practical part of Bachelor, Master and Ph.D thesis under this collaboration. Faculty members from both institutions visit each other to develop medical physics in both institutions.

2.Saroj Gupta Cancer Center and Research Institute,Thakurpukur, Kolkata, India

Year of establishment: 2011

Scope: In the frame of a sandwich program every year students get opportunity to do joint research and thesis in this institutions.

3. Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, (NSH) kolkata, India

Year of establishment:2019

Scope:

• Practical classes for bachelor and master students
• Joint academic activities such as joint conference, seminar and hands-on training program for medical physicists and medical doctors and technicians and nurses
• Joint research programs (project/ thesis for bachelor, master and Ph. D students)
• Joint health care personnel training programs
• Exchange of staff and students
