Mission

The mission of the Department of Microbiology is to provide a conducive learning environment and a student-friendly atmosphere that allows students to achieve academic excellence in all aspects of Microbiology.

The specific goals of the department are to-

• enrich students’ knowledge and skill in the different courses of microbiology
• introduce the concepts of application and research in Microbiology
• teach sense of scientific responsibilities and social and environment awareness
• prepare students with in-depth knowledge and research skills for professional careers in Microbiology
• create highly qualified, knowledgeable and competent microbiologists who will be able to contribute to the nation’s development
