Mr. Iqbal Hossain serves as a faculty member in the Department of Business Administration at Gono University. Previously, Mr. Hossain served as a trainee officer at Southeast Bank Limited. Subsequently, he joined Central Women’s University and commenced his academic career on October 10, 2012, as a lecturer in the School of Business Department. To enhance his professional career and advance in practical work, he subsequently joined the Center for Capital Market Development on October 1, 2015, as a research assistant under Professor Dr. Mizanur Rahman, the executive director of the center for that research project.
Hossain obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting and information systems from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He received a university merit scholarship for his exceptional performance in BBA and MBA. He instructs courses in financial and managerial accounting, auditing, taxation, statistics, and others.
Hossain’s current research centers on International Trade Policy, Tax Structure, Corporate Disclosures, and the Monetary and Fiscal Policies of both Developed and Developing Nations. Mr. Hossain possesses expertise in econometric analysis with EViews software. He conducts his research on macroeconomic variables utilizing the ARDL, VAR, VECM, and ARACH models.
