The basic requirements for admission to the BSc (Hons):

GPA 3.00 in SSC and HSC (science) with mathematics and physics or diploma in electrical/ electronics/ mechanical/ electromedical from a polytechnic institute/bachelor in Technology with minimum GPA 3.00/1stclass or equivalent. Diploma in Radiotherapy/radiology & imaging/Laboratory medicine from Institute of Health teaching (IHT) with GPA 3.00 or equivalent /Diploma of Medical Faculty Degree (DMF) from Medical Assistant Training School (MATS). Every student must qualify in the admission test set by the university each time.

The requirements for admission to the MSc:

Any one of the following degree: From UGC approved Universities or Institutes BSc (Hons) in Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering, BSc (Hons) /MSc degree in Physics/ Applied Physics /Biology/Chemistry/Mathematics/Radiology and Imaging Technology,  MBBS, BSc in Engineering or BSc (Hon) in any Science subject subjected to departmental evaluation. Minimum requirement is CGPA 2.50 or second class or equivalent. Those who do not have the required pre-requisite courses in Physics and Mathematics in their BSc level program needed for the degree requirements in MSc in Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering must take them as prerequisite courses at the beginning of the MSc program.
